President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived in New York to participate in the high-level meetings of the United Nations General Assembly during its seventy-fourth session.
The Spokesman for the Presidency stated that President El-Sisi is scheduled to deliver Egypt's statement to the UN General Assembly, which is considered the highest international political forum. The statement addresses Egypt's vision and stances towards the developments in the regional and international situation on the international political arena, especially in the fields of maintaining global peace and security, combating international terrorism and extremist ideology and in the economic, social and development fields, in addition to the issues of the African continent in light of President El-Sisi's leadership for joint African action through Egypt's current chairmanship of the African Union and the Egyptian experience in those areas in recent years as well as achievements at the national level economically, developmentally and security.
President El-Sisi is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with a number of leaders and heads of state and government on the sidelines of the General Assembly to discuss and exchange views on strengthening bilateral relations between Egypt and their countries in various fields. This is in addition to exchanging views and making assessments on the successive developments of regional and international issues of common interest.
President El-Sisi will also participate in a number of high-level conferences, which will be held during the seventy-fourth session with the participation of world leaders, which covers a number of current issues and challenges facing the international community. El-Sisi presents Egypt’s data in such summits, which reflects the Egyptian position in this framework.
On the level of Egyptian-American relations, the Spokesman for the Egyptian said that El-Sisi's visit to New York City is expected to witness intensive bilateral activities as President El-Sisi is expected to hold a number of extensive meetings with high-profile figures in the American society, and with the leaders of major international American companies, as well as economic and investment institutions, which seek to increase the volume of its business in Egypt in light of broad investment opportunities currently available in the Egyptian market and to settle its industrial and commercial activity in light of the attractive investment atmosphere within the framework of the comprehensive development process, major projects and Egypt’s security and stability.
