President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has declared three days of mourning in Egypt following the death of Field Marshal Mohammed Hussein Tantawy, former Minister of Defense and Military Production and former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

The official three-day period of national mourning starts today, Tuesday, September 21, 2021, and ends at sunset on Thursday, September 23, 2021.
