President El-Sisi Opens Al-Fayrouz Fish-Farming Project in Port Said

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi opened, today's morning, Al-Fayrouz fish-farming project in Shark El-Tafreaa, Port Said.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that this project in East Port Said is the largest of its kind in the Middle East. He added that it is one of the great development achievements Egypt has recently been making under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The mega project also contributes, with a huge added value, to the development of the Suez Canal area and the Sinai Peninsula by creating new industrial and urban communities in them. In fact, the project provides 10,000 direct and indirect job opportunities in many professions and specialties in this field.

Moreover, it aims to reduce the gap between production and consumption, achieve self-sufficiency, limit import, and increase export opportunities to Arab and European markets, thus saving hard currency and supporting the national economy.

The Spokesman added that President El-Sisi will also inaugurate, via video conference, a number of other projects for the production of marble and granite in Ras Sudr and Ain Sokhna, in addition to dairy and animal production projects in El-Nubaria and Fayoum.

Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and a number of ministers and senior statesmen attended the opening ceremony.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed that, within the framework of the 1500 villages project, actions would be taken in all centers and villages. His Excellency stressed the importance of mobilizing our efforts to implement this project.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi added that contracts would be concluded with local factories and companies centrally according to the unified procurement of the project. In addition, good deposits would be paid as a sign of seriousness. In doing so, companies and factories would be given the chance to develop their production lines and improve the quality of products.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed that in the framework of raising the efficiency of the railways in Egypt, there would not be any old trains on the railway by the end of this year.
The President also indicated that the world holds Egypt’s efforts in combating the coronavirus in high regard.

President El-Sisi stressed that the development of the meat and dairy sector is carried out according to the highest standards and specifications approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) to provide healthy products to Egyptians or export them.

The President watched a documentary film entitled “Treasures of Egypt”. Moreover, His Excellency opened several projects, including the Animal Production Complex No. 5 in El-Nubaria, the Animal Production Complex No. 8 in Fayoum, the Dairy Production Complex No. 1 in El-Nubaria, the Marble and Granite Factory in Ras Sudr, and the Marble and Granite Factory in Ain Sokhna.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi asserted that the East Port Said and Shark El-Tafreaa project was proposed 15 years ago. He added that it had not been implemented then due to the great amount of work and high cost it requires. These projects are implemented with knowledge and work, he added.
His Excellency also said that more than EGP 150 billion were spent on higher education projects.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi also watched a documentary film entitled "Waves of Good".
He stressed that no one has devoted attention to Lake Manzala, which led to the loss of its wealth. The state and all bodies must take control of the lake, taking into account the conditions of fishermen so that their living conditions would be improved.

President El-Sisi referred to the enormous effort made to transfer water from Bahr Al-Baqar Water Treatment Plant to arable lands in Sinai within an area of 100,000 feddans in addition to another 270,000 feddans in central Sinai.

Furthermore, President El-Sisi inaugurated, via video conference, the fish-farming project in El-Deba Triangle.

At the end of the opening ceremony, President El-Sisi made a tour of inspection of the project.
