President El-Sisi Orders Establishment of Full-Fledged City for Gold Industry and Trade in Egypt

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng. Tarek El-Molla, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Dr. Ali El-Moselhy, Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, and Advisor to the President of the Republic for Financial Affairs Major General Mohamed Amin.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the meeting reviewed a plan to establish a full-fledged city for gold industry and trade in Egypt.

The President directed that the financial resources should be provided for establishing the city according to the cutting-edge technologies in this field to reflect the ancient Egyptian civilization in this fine craft industry. This should be done in an integrated manner through providing industry and production requirements and high-end exhibitions, training workers to refine their capabilities, and taking into account the logistical aspects in terms of choosing the city’s location to take advantage of the new road and axes network to offer easy access to and from the city and to receive visitors.

During the meeting, the implementation steps that are currently underway to develop the system of bakeries nationwide, were discussed. In this respect, the President directed that the governance of the system’s performance should be ensured by automating manual work, raising the efficiency of logistical operations, and continuing efforts to convert bakeries to run on natural gas for its economic return and significant environmental impact.
