President El-Sisi Calls for Making Optimal Use of State Assets

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Dr. Assem El-Gazzar, and Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the meeting discussed the general strategy for tourism development at the level of the republic.

President El-Sisi was briefed on the efforts made by the State to promote the national strategy for tourism development at the level of the republic. They referred to the development made on the Red Sea and Mediterranean coasts and the tourist complexes located on this geographical extension- whether integrated mega projects or others that are limited in area. Moreover, efforts made to review the rates of development targets that the tourism projects have achieved were discussed. Means to deal with the challenges in this matter were further tackled.

The Spokesman added that the President gave directives for promoting the State’s general strategy for tourism development, in a manner that fosters tourism projects for them to become a full-fledged development destination economic, tourism and service wise.

His Excellency also called for crystalizing work mechanisms to increase the rate of implementation and operation in those projects that have not been completed. This aims to achieve the development and economic goals these projects have been established for and provide more job opportunities, within the framework of the State’s efforts to make optimal use of the State’s assets represented in the lands and coasts and preserve their value as a national treasure.
