Fifth National Youth Conference

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi commissioned the Fifth National Youth Conference at Al-Masa Hotel, Cairo. Several ministers, public figures, representatives of political powers, as well as parties' youth and specialists in various fields attended the conference.

                                                                                                          First Session:

President El-Sisi participated in “A Youth Vision to Analyze Egypt’s Political Scene” Session.
(Wednesday 16/5/2018) - President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi participated in the first session of the Fifth National Youth Conference, entitled “A Youth Vision to Analyze Egypt’s Political Scene”. During the session, the development stages of the political and party life in Egypt were presented in a documentary that was played at the onset of the session.


“A Youth Vision to Analyze Egypt’s Political Scene”:

A group of young people from the Presidential Leadership Program made a presentation on the development stages of the political and party life in Egypt. Moreover, several young people from political parties put forward their proposals during the session. Some examples of these proposals are:

- Launching the Political Cadre School, under the umbrella of the National Training Academy.
- Launching the National Public Policy Forum to discuss political issues on the Egyptian scene.
- Developing a strategy for establishing communication between the parties and the executive bodies so as to be contribute to addressing the problems of society.
- Amending laws related to political parties in Egypt.
- Restoring the value of the national identity to Egyptians, in cooperation with the concerned bodies and civil society.
- Preparing a working paper to address freedoms file and public opinion issues.
- Establishing the National Youth Council, which is responsible for drafting youth-relevant resolutions.
- Maximizing the role of the media when it comes to highlighting the partisan role in society.
- Activating the parties' participation with the state to achieve Egypt's 2030 vision.

                                                                                                         Second Session:

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi participated in the “The Egyptian State’s Vision for the Next Four Years”.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi participated in the second session of the Fifth National Youth Conference. The session tackles “The Egyptian State’s Vision for the Next Four Years”. During the session, a comparison between the global and local economic conditions was made and a study of the challenges of small and medium enterprises, as well as means to overcome them, was presented.

As part of the international economy, the economic conditions of Egypt were presented during the session. The Sustainable Development Goals for next four years in several sectors were also pointed out. Furthermore, the most important challenges facing the Egyptian economy and strategies developed to overcome them were addressed. In the same vein, the importance of industry development was also highlighted for it is the core and crux of the development process, instead of merely relying on unstable resources such as remittances from Egyptian expatriates. Participants also explained means of reconciling civil society organizations and the government to achieve economic development.

The session addressed the most promising sectors that will contribute to achieving the sustainable development of Egyptian economy, such as oil, energy, information technology and entrepreneurship sectors. These sectors were particularly tackled for they significantly contribute to Gross Domestic Product and include a significant proportion of labor.

Moreover, the session tackled the importance of startups since they contribute to creating new opportunities and increasing the Gross Domestic Product. It was recommended to establish a government institution for small enterprises to serve entrepreneurs and follow and address their problems.

                                                                                                           Third Session:

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi participated in “Ask the President” Session during which His Excellency responds to the most significant questions that he previously received on the initiative’s official page.
