Conducting a package of medical examinations for persons approaching marriage includes early detection of many infectious and non-communicable diseases. It also includes providing medical follow-up for both parties, in order to reduce complications of infection for the affected party and prevent the transmission of infection to the other party.

Information about the initiative:

The initiative is to examine people who are about to get married by providing a package of services to detect infectious and non-communicable disease. The examinations will be confidential and private with the visitor through a counseling session before conducting the examinations so as to provide information about the examinations and the indications of the results for the visitor. This aims to create health awareness regarding the importance of early detection, limit the spread of infection of infectious diseases and reduce the risk factors for infectious and non-communicable diseases.
The results are delivered and explained to the visitor through a counseling session after the examinations, in which information will be provided on follow-up and referral for treatment in case the visitor is found to be infected with one of the diseases detected through the initiative.
