The 19-Km-long axis comprises three traffic lanes in each direction.

It has 24 industrial works with a total length of 7,350 metres, including the Nile Bridge, with a length of 1,550 metres.

The axis connects the Eastern Desert Road to the Western Aswan Road. It contributes to serving tourist traffic from Luxor International Airport, east of the Nile, to the archaeological sites in the West Bank.
