Efficiency upgrades and development works were carried out in several unplanned and unsafe areas in Damietta Governorate. These areas included (Al-Shuhada, the Old Area, Al-Sinania, Shat Al-Melh, Gheit Al-Nasara, Al-Minya, Al-A’sar, and Al-Sayala), in cooperation with the Urban Development Fund.
These areas underwent comprehensive development, including the extension and reinforcement of utility networks for water and sanitation, as well as upgrading electrical capacity, public lighting, and road paving.
The project to develop unplanned areas falls within the state's vision to improve the efficiency of these districts, upgrade their infrastructure, restore their urban character, and provide a decent life for citizens.
