Currently, there are docks that are being constructed with a length of 7.9 km^2 with a depth of 18.5 km^2. The movement of goods in the East Port Said Port increased between 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 by 11%.

The depth of the port's caisson has also been increased to 18.5 meters, which will contribute to increasing the navigational movement in the Suez Canal. The new maritime dock in Port Said has entered into pilot operation. It has received 75 ships so far and many soil improvement works have been carried out to accommodate the planned industrial areas, in addition to establishing a road network with all its facilities.
