Burullus Power Plant

• President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated Burullus Power Plant via video conference on Tuesday 24/7/2018, while his Excellency was inaugurating some national projects in the field of electricity.

• The station is located in the north of Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, on the international coastal road and the Mediterranean coast.

• It is one of the largest installed plants for electricity production in the world.

• The cost of constructing the plant was carried out within an agreement between the government and the German company Siemens.

• The capacity of the station is about 4800 MW.

• The plant produces about 7.5% of Egypt's electricity needs.

• The plant was built in accordance with the highest technology of electricity production (H-CLASS).
