Al-Fattah Al-Alim Mosque is located on the new Middle Ring Road in the New Administrative Capital. The mosque is considered the pearl of the modern Islamic architecture, and the jewel of establishments inside the New Administrative Capital. It represents a new achievement added to the series of achievements made by the Egyptian state in the area of building and construction. It is one of the largest mosques in the Arab and Middle East region, which took nearly a year and a half to be built from July 2017 to December 2018 under the supervision of the Armed Forces Engineering Corps and with the participation of the Arab Contractors Company. This is in addition to many construction, carpets, crystal, agriculture and landscape companies. The number of technicians, engineers and workers who built the largest religious edifice in the Middle East are about 1,500 workers.

- The mosque area is about 250 thousand square meters, and it is about 500 meters long and 500 meters wide.
- The mosque consists of a basement on an area of 6325 square meters. The nave of the mosque is built on an area of 6325 square meters and can accommodate 6,300 prayers.
- A Side entrance to the prayer hall for women in the first floor. The external praying area is 3400 square meters, which can accommodate 3400 prayers.
- The basement includes a prayer hall for men (accommodating 1200 prayers), a prayer hall for women (300 prayers) with a total number of prayers reaching about 16 thousand.
- It includes 4 minarets of 90 meters high each.
- The mosque has a main dome, the largest in the Middle East, with a height of 43 meters and a diameter of about 33 meters in addition to 4 domes that are 10 meters high.
- The mosque includes "Museum of the divine messages - house for memorizing the Quran – a polyclinic".
The mosque was executed at the highest level using the highest potentials as planned, and it would be the official state mosque.
