President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi witnessed the opening of the first phase of the project of 100,000 feddans of agricultural greenhouses which produce about 1 million feddans of traditional crops at Mohammed Naguib base in Hammam city, Marsa Matrouh. President El-Sisi also witnessed laying the foundation stone of the construction of 576 greenhouses in the 10th of Ramadan city and 2374 agricultural houses at Abu Sultan site.
The state aims to generate an economic revenue by increasing the production and the unit of the exploited area. These greenhouses need only 60%-70% of the quantities of water consumed by the traditional open crops. They also produce high quality and off-season agricultural crops and increase the complementary production of vegetable and fruit crops in the markets.

- The Mohammed Naguib military base contains 1302 greenhouses with the latest international technologies. The greenhouse area ranges from 1 to 12 feddans on a total area of 4900 feddans. The international company "RUFEPA" is supplying and installing 116 greenhouses on a total area of 650 feddans and provides 3 types of high and medium-technology and network greenhouses.
- The National Service Project in cooperation with the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces established 186 greenhouses. The area of one greenhouse is one feddan on a total area of 250 feddans.
- The National Company for protected agriculture is responsible for establishing 1,000 greenhouses, each of which covers 3 feddans on a total area of 4000 feddans.
- The site provides the water needs of 150 thousand cubic meters of water per day from the El-Hammam canal and is supplied with electricity from the El-Omayed power station.
- The site is close to the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila, Borg El Arab Airport and the main roads, thus facilitating the transfer and distribution of the products. This site also provides 15 thousand jobs a day.
- 576 greenhouses in the 10th of Ramadan city with an area of 2.5 feddans for the house with a total area of 2500 feddans.
- The site is close to the ports of Ain Sokhna, Adabiya, Damietta, and East Port Said Port as well as the most important main roads.
- This site provides 5000 job opportunities per day.
- 2374 greenhouses in South Abu Sultan with an area of two feddans and a half feddan for each house with a total area of 12,500 feddans.
- The site depends on the Suez Canal for water supply.
- It provides 20 thousand jobs per day.
- The location is close to the ports of Ain Sukhna, Adabiya, East Port Said and Damietta.
- 529 greenhouses with a total area of 100 feddans.
- The site depends on Sinai canal to obtain 5300 cubic meters of water per day.
- Located near Port Said Port and the main roads.
- Provides 500 job opportunities a day.
- In each of the four sites there are administrative buildings, and service plants for sorting, packing, packaging and drying.
