President El-Sisi Receives Arab Parliament Speakers

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received delegations from the Speakers of Arab parliaments and heads of delegations participating in the 5th session of the Arab Parliament. This was in the presence of President of the Arab Parliament, Mr. Adel Al Asoomi, the Conference's guest of honor Pan-African Parliament President, H.E Senator, Chief Fortune Charumbira, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Hanafi Gebali.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said President El-Sisi welcomed the Speakers of Arab parliaments and affirmed Egypt’s efforts in support of strengthening parliamentary communication and cooperation among Arab states. This is to contribute to the exchange of experience and advance integration among among them. The President also valued the decision of the Arab Parliament to focus on food security during the current session, which is of increasing importance considering the world’s global food crisis.
The attendees stressed the keenness the Arab Parliament Conference to develop a common parliamentary vision to contribute to promoting Arab action and addressing the challenges facing the Arab nation. They also appreciated Egypt’s efforts,  under the leadership of President El-Sisi, as well as its honorable and distinguished positions in defending Arab national security. They expressed the appreciation of the Arab peoples for the constructive political and development path that Egypt has followed over the past years, which enabled it to withstand the enormous challenges that affected the region. The President stressed the importance of maintaining solidarity among the Arab states and expressed Egypt’s interest to strengthen joint Arab relations and support all Arab states in their endeavors to achieve stability and development. The President affirmed that the stability and peace of each Arab country is Egypt’s peace and stability.
