President El-Sisi Meets the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Admiral Osama Rabie.

Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy stated that the meeting focused on the impact of the ongoing war in the Middle East on the Suez Canal. 

Admiral Osama Rabie outlined the war's repercussions on maritime navigation and supply chains. He reviewed the urgent measures taken by the canal to address these conditions, which included raising the state of readiness across all SCA sites and facilities. He affirmed the Canal's continuous provision of maritime services around the clock. 

President El-Sisi emphasized the importance of enhancing state of readiness across all work sites related to canal navigation, as well as monitoring safety procedures and taking necessary measures to elevate preparedness of the authority's service sites and facilities.

The meeting also tackled the progress of the Red Sea Shipyard Development Project, the Luxury Yacht Manufacturing Project, the "RIZK" Fishing Vessel Construction Project, and the status of the high-seas fishing fleet.

The meeting further touched on national efforts to build and sell marine tugboats, and the progress of the River Bus Manufacturing Project. 

The President directed that all related projects be completed within their specified timelines, with adherence to the highest global standards in execution to ensure the quality of the products and services provided.

President El-Sisi was also briefed on the progress of digitalization and technology integration within the Suez Canal Authority's operations, including the expansion of electronic applications. 

The President underscored the necessity of ensuring that the digital transformation achieves its goals, particularly in rationalizing expenditure and ensuring governance and operational effectiveness. 

President El-Sisi also stressed the importance of cooperating with leading global companies, continuing efforts to localize industry, and boosting the international marketing of products to open export markets.
