I have received reports regarding incidents that occurred in some electoral districts where individual candidates competed. These incidents are subject to the examination and adjudication of solely the National Election Authority, which is an independent body in its work according to the law establishing it.
I request that the esteemed Authority conduct a thorough and careful review of these incidents and the appeals submitted in relation to them. The decisions made should align with what pleases Allah-the Almighty- and truthfully reflect the genuine will of the voters. The Authority should uphold the transparency of procedures by ensuring that each candidate's representative receives a copy of the official vote tally from the subcommittee. This will help ensure that parliament members truly represent the people of Egypt.
The National Elections Authority shall not hesitate to make the right decision when it is not possible to reach the true will of the voters, whether by completely cancelling this stage of the elections, or by partially canceling it in one or more electoral districts, provided that the elections for those areas to be held at a later time.
I also urge the National Election Authority to announce the actions taken in response to any electoral campaigning violations, in order to ensure effective oversight of the campaign, keeping it within the legal framework, and preventing the repetition of violations in the remaining election rounds.
