Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke by phone with the President of the Republic of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said President El-Sisi congratulated President Guelleh on his re-election in the April 2026 presidential elections, noting that this victory reflects the unwavering confidence of the people of Djibouti in his wise leadership and relentless efforts to achieve development and prosperity.
President El-Sisi looked forward to continuing joint action between Egypt and Djibouti to further strengthen bilateral relations, advance the existing strategic partnership across various fields, and intensify consultation and coordination on regional issues of common interest.
President Guelleh expressed his appreciation for President El-Sisi's congratulations and emphasized the deep close and strategic ties that bind Egypt and Djibouti and their peoples. He commended the continuous momentum bilateral relations have gained and stressed the importance of further enhancing cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
