Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Spokesman for the Presidency Counselor Ahmed Fahmy said Ms. Meloni praised the distinguished relations between Egypt and Italy and the keenness of the two countries to further develop them. She expressed her deep appreciation for the wise leadership of the President and stressed keenness to enhance constructive communication with the President to continue regular consultation and coordination with regard to issues of common interest, as well as discussing regional and international developments and continuing to strengthen frameworks of joint cooperation with Egypt in various fields.
President El-Sisi expressed his appreciation to the Italian prime minister and confirmed that Egypt accords special importance to strengthening strategic cooperation relations between the two countries and using the broad horizons in this regard at various levels. This is in addition to continuing coordination and consultation with the Italian side on various political, security, military and economic files of common interest, in a way that helps safeguard security and stability in the Middle East, the Mediterranean basin and the African continent.
