Tomorrow, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will inaugurate the Alamein Africa Forum in New Alamein.
The forum will feature broad participation from African leaders and officials, alongside representatives from the business community and African and international economic institutions.
President El-Sisi will co-chair the summit of the founding member states of the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) with the President of Angola, João Lourenço,
who also serves as the Chairperson of the AUDA‑NEPAD Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee ( HSGOC). This shall take place with the participation of the heads and representatives of founding member states of the Agency: Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, Senegal, and South Africa. Also participating will be the President of Burundi, in his capacity as the current Chairperson of the African Union, representatives of the African Union Commission, and the CEO of AUDA-NEPAD.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the President will also participate in the 8th African Union Mid-Year Coordination Meeting, held in New Alamein on Sunday, October 4.
The meeting will bring together African leaders and heads of regional economic communities.
President El-Sisi is scheduled to deliver both the opening and closing remarks in his capacity as the head of the host nation.
Over the two-day event, the President will hold a a number of bilateral and multilateral meetings with African leaders and officials to discuss ways to strengthen joint African action and advance efforts toward continental development and integration.
