Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, stated that the call addressed the full spectrum of relations between Egypt and Italy. The President affirmed his appreciation for the historical ties the two countries share and emphasized the need to further boost the close relations, particularly in trade and investment, to achieve mutual interests. The President noted the necessity of increasing Italian investments in the Egyptian market, given the promising opportunities it offers.

The Italian Prime Minister agreed with the President's remarks regarding the importance of developing the distinguished relations between the two countries across all fields, including trade and investment, as well as coordinating efforts to combat illegal immigration.

The call also touched on regional and international issues. Both sides stressed the need to continue striving to avoid escalation and resolve disputes through peaceful means.

President El-Sisi and Italian Prime Minister Meloni agreed to continue working to strengthen bilateral relations and intensify political consultation and coordination between Egypt and Italy to achieve regional peace and stability.
