This evening, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended a major national celebration held under the title “Nation of Peace”, at the City of Arts and Culture in the New Administrative Capital, as part of the 52nd anniversary of the glorious 6th of October War victory.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the President, upon his arrival at the celebration venue, signed a “Message of Peace from Egypt to the World”, symbolizing Egypt’s commitment to the approach of peace and its preservation, considering it a strategic choice and a deeply rooted principle in its national and international policy.
This was followed by the launch of the celebration's activities with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech on peace. Then, artistic and cultural program segments were presented, including artistic and musical performances that addressed themes of peace, the ending of war in Gaza, and the appreciation for the struggle and resilience of the people of Sinai. This was in addition to recorded messages from a number of Egyptian state figures in its soft power fields: religious, medical, antiquities, history, media, art, and sports, as well as the screening of documentaries titled "Guardians of the Sand," "Egypt: The Return Path," and "A Leader's Insight."
At the conclusion of the event, President El-Sisi delivered a speech. The President expressed appreciation for everyone who participated, including the artists of Egypt, commending the important messages included in the celebration. In this regard, the President urged the universities, schools, and concerned state entities to coordinate visits for students and others to Sinai.
President El-Sisi expressed gratitude to Allah the Almighty for the ending of the war in the Gaza Strip and the suffering endured by the Palestinians for two years, and for Egypt's success in its efforts in this regard, which culminated in its hosting of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit.
The President pointed out that the month of October is the month of victory, and that victory did not come only with the strength of the army but primarily with the strength of the people. President El-Sisi reaffirmed that the people who refuse defeat are aided by Allah the Almighty for victory. The President emphasized that making a decision is a responsibility, that our cause is just, and that Egypt does not violate the rights of others.
The celebration was attended by wide and high-level senior state officials, ministers, and representatives from various segments and sectors of Egyptian society.
