Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi gave directives to name a mosque in the city of Zagazig, the road linking New Cairo and the Middle Ring Road (El-Awsaty Road), and the high-speed train station located at the end of that road, after late scholar, Professor Dr. Ahmed Omar Hashem.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the President's directives come as an honor to the rich and remarkable academic and religious career during, which Dr. Hashem served Islam and the moderate call (Da'wah) for many decades.
