El-Sisi Receives Phone Call from India’s PM

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the Indian Prime Minister congratulated President El-Sisi on the occasion of the blessed Eid El-Fitr, stressing his country's pride in the extended and close ties binding it with Egypt, and commending Egypt’s prominent, balanced political leverage at the regional and international levels.

From his side, President El-Sisi thanked Mr. Modi for this kind gesture, praising the distinguished bilateral relations and stressing Egypt's keenness to promote bilateral cooperation frameworks at various levels, especially with regard to the commercial, investment and medical level.

The Spokesman added they also exchanged views on a number of issues of bilateral relations, especially with regard to the experiences and best practices of the two countries to combat and contain the repercussions of the spread of the emerging coronavirus.
