President El-Sisi Follows Up on Environmental Conservation Efforts

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Chairman of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces Major General Ihab Al-Far, Director General of the National Service Projects Organization (NSPO) of the Armed Forces Major General Walid Abul-Magd, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Company for General Construction Major General Karam Salem.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the meeting discussed efforts made to preserve the environment with regard to industrial waste recycling.
The President was updated on efforts related to industrial waste management, in regard to the marble and granite industry particularly in the industrial areas.

In this regard, His Excellency President El-Sisi followed up on the construction status of a recycling plant for solid and liquid waste management with a capacity of 300,000 tons per day. The plant shall contribute to preserving the environment and would bring economic returns.

The President gave directives for providing all sources of financing and equipment required in order to manage waste efficiently in industrial areas of all kinds, in addition to maximizing the utilization of the recycling process to protect the environment and health from the adverse effects of the industrial waste.
