President El-Sisi Follows-up on the Ministry of Agriculture’s Projects

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, El-Said Marzouq El-Qosair. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Eng. Mostafa El-Sayyad; Director General of the National Service Projects Organization of the Armed Forces, Major General A.H. Walid Abu Al-Magd; Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Animal Production Company, Major General Mohamed Salah; and Chairman of the Board of Directors of El-Nasr Company For Intermediate Chemicals, Major General Ihab Abdel Samie.

The Spokesman of the Presidency stated that the meeting focused on progress in the implementation of the Ministry of Agriculture’s projects for the development of livestock and milk collection centers, in coordination with the National Service Projects Organization and El-Nasr Company For Intermediate Chemicals.

The Minister of Agriculture also discussed the Ministry's efforts to address the infringements on agricultural lands as well as executive measures undertaken to put an end to these violations. President El-Sisi underscored the importance of coordination among the various relevant authorities so as to apply strict measures to counter these violations.

The Minister of Agriculture also reviewed efforts to develop high-yielding dairy livestock. President El-Sisi directed to strengthen these efforts, given their direct economic and financial returns for the benefit of breeders and improving their income, in integration with the "Decent Life" initiative. This project also contributes to supporting dairy production for the local market and promoting related food industries.

The meeting also touched on progress in the implementation of projects in the production of fertilizers, in accordance with the state’s efforts to maximize the supplies of agricultural production. President El-Sisi instructed to expedite the completion of these projects, in order to increase the production capacity of fertilizers, and contribute to providing them to the local market so as to support the needs of farmers and meet the current and future needs of horizontal expansions in reclaimed land.
