President El-Sisi received a phone call today from Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.
The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that, in the phone call, Lt. Gen. Al-Burhan expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy for the victims of the Sohag two-train collision. He affirmed the solidarity of the government and people of Sudan with Egypt in this painful time and prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow His mercy upon the victims and grant their families patience and solace.
For his part, President El-Sisi thanked his brother, Lt. Gen. Al-Burhan, for his keenness to offer condolences to the victims of the accident. The President further confirmed the special and strong relations between the two countries and peoples.
