El-Sisi Receives Phone Call from Iraqi Parliament Speaker

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received this evening a phone call from Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Mr. Mohamed Al-Halbousi.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament congratulated President El-Sisi on the occasion of the blessed Eid El-Fitr, wishing Egypt and its people continued progress and prosperity. He also expressed the Iraqi people’s appreciation for Egypt’s stances in support of his country, affirming Egypt’s leverage as a pillar of security and stability in the Arab world.

For his part, President El-Sisi expressed his sincere gratitude for this fraternal gesture, affirming the strong relations that bring together the two brotherly countries at various levels, praising the development of the bilateral cooperation process between Egypt and Iraq during the recent period.
