President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Head of Armed Forces’ Logistics Authority Staff Major General Waleed Abul Magd , Director of the Armed Forces’ Department of Veterinary Medicine Major General Dr. Islam Rayan, and heads of investment groups specialized in breeding the Egyptian Arabian horses Mr. Hamdy Suleiman and Mr. Tarek Suleiman.
The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that, during the meeting, the state’s efforts to regain the ancient Egyptian legacy regarding breeding the Egyptian Arabian horses and reviving the horse-related activities were presented.
In this context, President El-Sisi was briefed on the plan of the global project “Marabet Misr” for breeding the Egyptian Arabian horses. It includes all sports and activities related to horses in accordance with the international standards, within a green space that will be the largest of its kind in the Middle East. The project is to be launched in partnership with the most prestigious international and local expertise and in cooperation with the largest global developers.
In this context, President El-Sisi called for carefully implementing this project due to its importance at the cultural and civilizational levels and in the sector of tourism. He also gave directives for making "El Zahraa" farm for Arabian horses the main core of the project after its development since it has the purest breeds worldwide.
President El-Sisi also called for studying the best location for the project so that the modern infrastructure that Egypt has recently had would be made use of, including the roads and axes network, airports and seaports. He also called for promoting the factors of success through creating a partnership between the state's potentials and the successful specialized expertise in this field.
