Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly.
The Spokesman for the Presidency stated that the meeting followed –up on the status of implementing a number of national projects nationwide.
With regard to developing and constructing new cities, the prime minister presented the latest developments pertinent to the establishment of development and tourism projects in the New Al Alamein City and Sharm El Sheikh.
The President emphasized the importance of applying all modern standards to develop the new cities as well as the existing cities across the country in a sustainable way. This is while preparing the infrastructure of these cities to become green and environmentally friendly, including the use of new and clean energy, especially in means of mass transportation. This is in addition to the readiness of these cities to host the largest international events in Egypt.
The President was briefed on developments pertinent to the renovation of Al-Fustat area, within the comprehensive framework to develop Historic Cairo, seeking to restore the features of civilization to the heart of the capital, turning it into a tourist attraction and increasing green areas.
The President gave directives to complete all processes of renovating Al-Fustat in 2022, while considering the ancient architectural design, in harmony with the nature of the heritage area.
