President El-Sisi Conducts Phone Call with Algeria’s President

President El-Sisi conducted a phone call today with President of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

As stated by the Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency, President El-Sisi congratulated his Algerian counterpart upon his recovery from the COVID-19 virus, wishing him and the great people of Algeria continuous health, ultimate goodness and lasting peace and prosperity.

The phone call also discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between both countries to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus and means to promote protective measures via the exchange of experience among the concerned parties.

With regard to regional issues, especially the ones related to the Libyan crisis, views were exchanged; His Excellency showcased the continuous efforts exerted by Egypt within the political path where Algeria and Egypt agreed on intensifying mutual coordination during the coming period to help restore Libya to its former security and stability.

For his part, President Tebboune emphasized Algeria’s pride of its strong ties and deeply-rooted relations with Egypt at the official and popular levels. President Tebboune also praised Egypt’s wise and balanced way of addressing all regional issues due to its political leverage on the regional and international levels.

President El-Sisi stressed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and Egypt’s aspirations to advance bilateral cooperation on all levels, particularly the ones related to promoting communication channels on an economic level as well as increasing the volume of trade exchange and raising investments.
