Part of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s participation during round-table session on Fostering Mediterranean Regional Cooperation in Addressing Common Challenges within the events of World Youth Forum:
- When we called for restoring the national statehood in Arab countries, we were not biased toward anyone; however, we were biased toward stability because everyone will pay the price of instability.
- We do not call those who are displaced “refugees”; for us, they are guests who have their own careers and businesses. They live among us not it camps. We also do not let them get offended by any means.
- Egypt managed to prevent illegal migration through restoring its stable security status that has been lacking since 2011.
- National armies are responsible for stability in their own countries. I also call for restoring the power of the Arab army so that the peoples could go back to their homelands.
- Egypt does not conspire against those who have disagreements with it at all. We always stick to dialogues and negotiations to solve our problems.
- National security in Egypt is directly related to the situation in Libya. We did not interfere directly in their affairs to maintain the brotherly relations with the Libyan people.
- Egypt made infrastructure reform in an unprecedented way that helped it make a leap toward attracting investments.
- Changing the face of the African continent and its future in 10 years needs a continental program for development projects. Africa is a new promising market but it needs more projects and infrastructure.
