President El-Sisi Meets French Prime Minister in Paris

This evening, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with French Prime Minister Jean Castex.

The Spokesman for the Presidency stated that the meeting focused on overall cooperation between the two countries. This includes the increase in the investments and business activity of the French companies on Egypt, especially in field of infrastructure within the framework of the Decent Life Initiative to develop the Egyptian countryside, and the localization of industry.

President El-Sisi confirmed the strong and strategic Egyptian-French relations across the political, economic and military fields. The President expressed keenness to continue joint action to deepen the Egyptian-French partnership.

The French prime minister confirmed his country’s firm approach to enhance the strategic relations with Egypt, due to its leverage as well as its pivotal and balanced role in the Middle East. He noted the significant development in bilateral ties in all fields. He also referred to meeting with Egypt’s prime minister, during his visit to France last October. Mr. Castex confirmed working to increase the French companies’ business activity and investments in Egypt in many fields that are of priority to the development process.
