President El-Sisi met this morning with the French Minister of Armed Forces Ms. Florence Parly in Les Invalides Palace, where the official reception ceremony was held, the two national anthems were played, and the guard of honor was reviewed.
The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the meeting discussed aspects of military cooperation between both countries that is to be promoted in the next phase.
Ms. Parly stressed her country’s aspiration to promote bilateral military and security aspects between both nations as these relations are a cornerstone for stability and security in the Middle East region, in light of Egypt’s important and vital role in achieving balance in the region.
President El-Sisi stressed Egypt’s keenness to boost the military and security relations, along the weapons programs with France within the framework of the strategic partnership between both countries. This comes in light of the mounting challenges in the Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean regions, which require intensive coordination and consultation between both countries to face these challenges.
The meeting also discussed the latest developments of a number of regional crises and issues, especially the ones related to combating terrorism and armed extremist groups in the region.
