Under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Egypt is airlifting more emergency aid to the brotherly Lebanese people to help them overcome the crisis.
Two military planes, loaded with large quantities of food aid, headed to Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport. Egyptian Food Bank and Albrwaltkwa association both made contributions to the 9th batch of emergency aid Egypt has delivered to Lebanon.
Lebanese officials expressed their thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by Egypt and stressed that they hold Egypt in high regard, given the close historical relations between both countries. They also stressed that the efforts Egypt makes reflect the spirit of fraternity between Egypt and Lebanon. They praised the active role played by the Egyptian government and people to help the Lebanese people deal with the effects of the Beirut blast.
