President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi Lays a Wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi laid a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier as well as the tombs of late Presidents Anwar Sadat and Gamal Abdel Nasser, marking Egypt and the armed forces’ 48th commemoration of the 6th of October War Victory. The President later headed a meeting of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency announced that President El-Sisi, accompanied by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, General Mohamed Zaki, and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mohamed Farid, laid a wreath on the Memorial of the Armed Forces’ Martyrs.

The President also placed a wreath on the tomb of late President Sadat and greeted members of his family along with a number of armed forces’ senior commanders as well as statesmen.

President El-Sisi then proceeded to the tomb of late President Abdel Nasser, placing a wreath on his tomb and greeting his family members.
