Assistant to the President for National and Strategic Projects the late Sherif Ismail:
- Born on July 6, 1955.
-He held a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanics, graduating from Ain Shams University, in 1978.
-Eng. Ismail began his career at the multinational oil company Mobil.
-He moved to the Engineering for the Petroleum and Process Industries company (Enppi) from 1979-2000, where he assumed the position of General Manager for Technical Affairs and became a member of the board of directors.
-He became the deputy minister of petroleum in charge of oil and gas operations from 2000 to 2005.
- Eng. Ismail was named Chairman of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), from 2005-2007.
- From 2007-2013, he served as Managing Director before becoming the Chairman of the state-owned Ganoub El-Wadi Petroleum Holding Company (GANOPE).
-Eng. Ismail was appointed as Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources from July 16, 2013-September 18, 2015.
-He became Prime Minister on September 19, 2015 and held the post until June 5, 2018
- He became Assistant to the President for National and Strategic Projects on June 14, 2018, and held the post until he passed away on February 4, 2023.
