President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received an honorary doctorate from Bucharest University of Economic Studies.
The University’s decision was based on President El-Sisi’s role in leading Egypt during a difficult period of unrest until it reached a new stage of stability, development and construction. That is also because he launched a deep structural reforms in the economic and social fields and initiated the construction of national mega projects in record time in various sectors, thus reformulating the development and economic map of Egypt.
The university’s officials praised the President's efforts in developing Egyptian education in both its elementary and university levels through substantial academic reform programs and projects that have been launched in accordance with the latest international standards and the establishment of a new number of universities.
The University also praised the active contribution of the President in promoting peace and cooperation at the international level and his pioneering efforts to formulate a comprehensive international framework to combat the phenomenon of terrorism and extremist ideology with the aim of protecting humanity as a whole. It also commended his wise leadership of the tireless efforts in Egypt to counter terrorism, and that was reflected in the region.
The University also praised the President's effective and tangible role in enhancing bilateral relations between Egypt and Romania in all fields, especially when it comes to the economic area and encouraging investments and mutual projects.
