President El-Sisi's Speech at India’s Presidential Palace

On the occasion of the “Republic Day” celebrations, allow me to extend my sincere congratulations to the government and people of the friendly Republic of India, wishing you all the goodness, security, peace and development, and further progress and prosperity.

I would also like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to your friendly country for inviting me to participate in India’s “Republic Day" celebrations this year as a guest of honor. This day coincides with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Egypt and India, confirming the special relations between both countries.

My visit to your dear country has come at a time when our bilateral relations are witnessing a remarkable breakthrough in all aspects of cooperation. It also represents an important opportunity for continuing consultations and exchanging visions on means to improve cooperation between our two countries at all levels and to coordinate positions on regional and global issues that have a direct impact on our national security.

Hence, Egypt and India are looking forward to achieving common goals, based on their historical ties, enormous potential, as well as determination to improve their bilateral relations to reach the stage of strategic cooperation and mutual coordination on various issues and matters of mutual interest.
