Day 1

President El-Sisi and the First Lady Attend the Opening of the 4th Edition of the World Youth Forum

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated the 4th edition of the World Youth Forum, which has become a platform for dialogue and communication among the youth and a tool for exchanging views among the whole world, particularly at this defining moment in human history.

At the beginning of the 4th edition of the World Youth Forum, this platform that has become a stage for dialogue and engagement between young people, and a tool for exchanging views among the whole world, particularly at this defining moment in human history which urges us to realize the importance of dialogue, manage our differences, and foster a state of certainty and faith that The Creator’s wisdom and His secret design for the universe reside in our differences, without discrimination in these differences, and that there is no way for humanity to overcome its current crises or challenges jeopardizing its survival except through sincere intentions, as well as ending conflicts, managing differences, and enhancing joint action for the sake of humanity and peace….

I am honored, in the presence of this unique and distinguished assembly, to announce the launch of the 4th edition of the World Youth Forum. In the name of Allah we begin, and for the sake of the future we work.

President El-Sisi Meets Lebanese Prime Minister

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, on the sidles of the 4th edition of the World Youth Forum held in Sharm El-Sheikh.

President El-Sisi welcomed Prime Minister Mikati in Egypt and confirmed the special bonds that Egypt and Lebanon share. The President expressed full support to Prime Minister Mikati to succeed in running the Lebanese government so as to fulfill the aspirations of the Lebanese people and help introduce the necessary reforms to overcome the critical phase that Lebanon is going through.

Prime Minister Mikati valued the special brotherly relations between the two countries and expressed his country’s appreciation for Egypt, as a cornerstone that supports and maintains stability in Lebanon and the Arab region. He lauded Egypt’s inspiring experience that reinforces the priorities of the developmental success and is considered a model to be followed by the region’s countries.

The meeting touched on means to enhance ongoing cooperation frameworks between the countries, including the possibility of benefiting from Egypt’s expertise in a number of fields, such as electricity, infrastructure and energy projects.

I feel happy and proud for the return of the world youth to meet and share views and experiences during the fourth edition of the World Youth Forum, which is considered as a global platform to discuss challenges and issues facing the world today. This unique edition demonstrates the youth’s ability to challenge all impediments. I wish the participants and the organizing committee all success and the World Youth Forum to always be a bridge for communication and a model for tolerance, co-existence and acceptance of the other.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the First Lady attend the opening of the World Youth Theatre, as part of the activities of the first day of the World Youth Forum.

Day 2

 President El-Sisi Attends the 1st Session of the 2nd Day of the World Youth Forum

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended a session titled "From Glasgow to Sharm El Sheikh: Combating Climate Change" as part of the 4th edition of the World Youth Forum.

 President El-Sisi Receives President of Palestine in Sharm El-Sheikh

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and his delegation, in Sharm El-Sheikh. The Head of Egypt’s General Intelligence Service attended the meeting.

President El-Sisi stressed Egypt’s firm stance in support of the question of Palestine, emphasizing the importance of achieving a just and comprehensive solution to this question in accordance with international legitimacy. His Excellency expressed Egypt’s keenness to support the current Palestinian diplomatic efforts, internationally and regionally, to encourage the resumption of peace negotiations.

On his part, President Abbas expressed his appreciation and gratitude for Egypt's sincere efforts under the leadership of President El-Sisi. The Palestinian President also lauded Egypt’s efforts that aim to support the question of Palestine and enable the Palestinian people to overcome the various challenges facing the Palestinian question.

He also praised Egypt's historical role and stable and firm stance to reach a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause.

The meeting discussed efforts to reconstruct the Gaza Strip. Moreover, talks on the latest developments on the Palestinian arena, at the local, regional and international levels, were held. These developments, in turn, affect the entire Palestinian question. During the talks, Egypt’s recent intensive regional efforts were also discussed. A consensus was reached on the need to continue intensive consultation and coordination- whether at the bilateral or trilateral levels-with the participation of Jordan in order to revive the peace process.

Day 3

President El-Sisi Attends the First Session of the World Youth Forum’s Third Day

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended the first session which was held under the title:” Developmental Initiatives Confronting Poverty”, on the third day of the World Youth Forum’s fourth edition.

 The First Lady Expresses Pleasure at the Performances on the World Youth Theatre

I was pleased with the glamorous performances I saw on the World Youth theatre, where the talented from all parts of the world gathered here in Sharm El-Sheikh in a message confirming that what brings humanity together is more than what separates it, and that arts can play a significant role in establishing the rules for co-existence.

No doubt, arts and culture are life and the fundamental pillar for development and building the human being. My greetings to all talented creators and young men and ladies who participated in this outstanding performances.

First Lady Expresses Joy to Meet a Group of Inspiring Women at the World Youth Forum

I was overjoyed to meet a group of inspirational women at the World Youth Forum.

Women always prove their ability to succeed and overcome difficulties, eventually becoming a role model for inspiration not only in our society, but in all societies around the world.

Women have proven that they are able to assume responsibility in various positions with their determination, strength and willingness to accept challenges.

I salute all women, especially the women of Egypt. It is through their efforts and patience that the nation lives.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the accredited foreign correspondents of international news agencies in Egypt, as a part of the activities of the World Youth Forum.

Day 4

The First Lady Expresses Pleasure at Visiting “Decent Life” and “Torathna” Exhibitions

I was pleased to visit the “Decent Life” and “Torathna” Exhibitions as well as the handicrafts pavilion at the World Youth Forum.

The beautiful products and amazing shows by the hands of Egypt’s youth, particularly from the countryside and Sinai, prove that the Egyptians are capable of innovating and giving, if they are given the chance. This is what we have been doing over the past years and we are still working on enhancing this through our great project “Decent Life”.

I would like to greet the inspiring young models and everyone I met at startup vein. I saw in their ideas and dreams Egypt’s hope and future.

“In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful"

Honorable Guests,

I commence my speech by expressing my tremendous appreciation for the honorable image, in form and content, in which the fourth edition of the World Youth Forum appeared. It clearly reflected the formidable efforts exerted by the organizing committee and all participants, at the official governmental level as well as international organizations, civil society institutions and youth from all over the world.

The past days offered a real opportunity to exchange views and create a state of serious and constructive dialogue for the sake of establishing peace and achieving sustainable development through ideas and creativity of the world’s youth. This rich state of diversity in views has opened up new prospects, inspiring us with new ideas and ways for a better future.

The global state linked to the coronavirus pandemic has imposed itself on the forum’s agenda, in light of numerous questions about the fate of the world and its future, as well as the extent to which the pandemic’s repercussions will affect the pattern of human lifestyle.

I was overjoyed to participate in the details of this outstanding dialogue, in the heart of which were the youth of Egypt and the world, opening up powers of hope and light to overcome this delicate phase in the history of mankind.

Today, the World Youth Forum has become a significant platform for dialogue; its development in form and content has become one of its key features. It is a purely Egyptian idea. It was a dream in the conscience of the youth of our dear homeland to create this platform to become a shared arena bringing people together and a forum for human dialogue. This dream has come true and is now a reality before the world, which requires us to work diligently and vigorously to enhance and modernize this platform and convert its recommendations and outcomes into tangible reality.

Ladies and Gentlemen... Honorable Guests

God has bestowed upon Egypt a genius location and instilled the plant of the first civilization in its soil; its character was shaped by diversity and plurality so it became a meeting point of civilizations and a launching pad for efforts to establish peace and uphold the values of love and tolerance. Here, on its kind and blessed land, we gathered for the sake of humanity and its future.

The new Egypt we are presenting to the world today is a modern civil state that seeks to construct and develop and to realize justice and human dignity. Its efforts toward construction extend to its regional milieu, with sincere endeavors by its sons and daughters, who are carrying to the world messages of love and peace.

The outcomes of this forum were outstanding, across all levels; there was an outpour of ideas and visions from everywhere inside its corridors and during the long hours of deliberations and dialogue. A set of recommendations was crystalized, based on which I decided the following:

- Declaring the year 2022 a Year of Civil Society, during which the forum’s administration and the relevant authorities and institutions in the state will establish an effective platform for dialogue between the state, its youth as well as local and international civil society institutions.

- Assigning the forum’s administration to reinvigorate its initiative to establish a global incubator for entrepreneurs, start-ups and small industries. This shall take place in coordination with the cabinet of ministers and the responsible authorities, while expanding the engagement of the private sector, international financial institutions and development partners in this initiative.

- Assigning the forum’s administration, in coordination with the state’s relevant authorities, to form groups comprising youth from Egypt and the world to participate immediately in preparation measures for the 27th Climate Summit (COP27) which is scheduled to be held in Sharm El-Sheikh. I am confident that they will be capable of making the summit a success.

- Assigning the cabinet of ministers to develop a comprehensive vision with development partners to achieve an African extension of developmental initiatives realized in Egypt, within the framework of Egypt’s regional responsibility toward its regional milieu.

- Assigning the National Training Academy to prepare specialized training programs for Arab and African youth so as to promote their skills to address the changes resulting from the coronavirus pandemic and current conflicts, primarily enhancing the youth capabilities in entrepreneurship and technology.

- Assigning the forum’s administration to activate a permanent platform for interactive dialogue for youth from Egypt and the world to share visions and ideas. Its outcomes shall be presented periodically to the various state institutions, providing the state with a forward-looking vision on all issues and dossiers of interest.

- Assigning the forum’s administration and the state’s relevant authorities to launch an international campaign of Egypt’s youth and world youth participating in the forum to offer an understanding of issues on international water resources.

- Assigning the cabinet of ministers, in coordination with the relevant state authorities and institutions, to prepare a comprehensive vision, reflecting the State of Egypt’s vision for the reconstitution of conflict zones in the region.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We are the ones who make history, chart the future and work in the present.

Only man is capable of building or destructing, with his free will. And today, we are in desperate need to awaken our resolve and reinforce the will of the human conscience, in order to achieve construction and development; and we need to put the conflicts aside and possess the ability to manage our differences for this world to remain alive, vibrant and full of humanity.

For the sake of this we gathered, and toward this we work with a genuine will to ensure a better future for our homeland, Egypt, and for the whole world. The dream of the Egyptians, since the dawn of history, has been to build human civilization and for love to prevail.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Allah the Almighty is peace and justice. Let us pray Allah with our hearts, from all corners of the world, to bestow upon mankind peace and justice and to crown our tireless efforts.. Let us pray for this world to become safer; a world worthy of us and of our homelands.

And from here, the land of peace and love.. the land of the precious Sinai, together with the Youth of the World, we send messages of love and fraternity to the whole world. And I confirm that I, along with the youth of Egypt, are determined to exert all efforts for the sake of mankind’s prosperity.

Let us repeat together .. the youth of Egypt and the World:

Long live Egypt .. Long live mankind.. Long live the youth of the world
