Medal of Excellence

It was established upon the approval of the President of the Republic in 1966 as per Law no. 12/1972.
Its design expresses the experience and excellence of the people.
The medal may be granted to those who offer Egypt or humanity invaluable services and those who notably excel in science, arts, literature, agriculture, industry, commerce, sports, youth affairs, public services, security or public order.
The medal is of three classes: The First Class, the Second Class and the Third Class.
The medal is hanged on the left side of the chest with a 3.7 cm-wide ribbon of white silk with two green welts.
