Counsellor Ahmed Fahmy

 

- During the last two decades, he held several positions in the Egyptian diplomatic corps. He worked in Egypt's missions in Côte d'Ivoire and the United Kingdom and was a counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Egypt to the United Nations in New York.

 

- Throughout his diplomatic career, he participated as a member of the Egyptian delegation in many international meetings and conferences, including the high-level segment of the United Nations General Assembly and the African Union summits.

 

- He also participated in many bilateral visits between Egypt and various countries at the presidential and ministerial levels.

 

- He served with the Assistants Foreign Minister for Asian, Arab, and African Affairs, where his experience diversified to include interacting with regional and international issues of priority to Egypt.

 

- Holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Cairo University in 1999, a master's degree in IR and a PhD in political science from the United Kingdom.

 

- Born in Cairo on July 11, 1977.

 

- Married with three daughters.
