Medal of Work

It was established in 1966 upon the approval of the President of the Republic as per law no. 12/1972.
Its design reflects the concept of work. In the middle, there is a stereoscopic disc, at the top of which is a circle in which the word "Work" in Arabic is engraved. There are light rays emanating from it; they symbolize science, art, knowledge, industry, agriculture, waterfalls, electricity generation and nuclear research.
It is granted to excellent, competent employees and distinguished individuals who carry out outstanding that contribute to helping the country in the fields of production, industry and economy, both scientifically and practically.
The Medal of Work is of four classes:
The grantees shall receive remunerations. The value of each is determined according to the medal’s class.
The First Class: LE 500.
The Second Class: LE 250.
The Third Class: LE 150.
The fourth layer: LE 100.
The remuneration shall be exempted from taxes and fees of any kind.
(A) The First Class of the medal is hanged around the neck with a red, silk ribbon that is 3.7 cm in width with two yellow welts.
(B) The other classes are hanged on the left side of the with the said ribbon. The ribbon of the Second Class is decorated with a Rosette.
