President El-Sisi Meets the Chairman and CEO of India’s ReNew Power

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received, at his residence in New Delhi, the Founder, Chairman and CEO of ReNew Power, India’s leading renewable energy company, Mr. Sumant Sinha.

The Spokesman for the Presidency said the President confirmed Egypt’s interest to collaborate with the Indian side, given its broad expertise in the field of new and renewable energy. This interest is also due to the fact that the green energy sector is receiving unprecedented support from the state as a top priority, capitalizing on Egypt’s wealth of new and renewable sources of energy such as wind and sun.

Mr. Sinha said he was honored to meet with the President, underlining his company’s huge interest to cooperate with Egypt in the area of clean energy and the production of green hydrogen, particularly in light of its leading role in international climate action. This culminated in Egypt’s recent hosting of the Global Climate Summit in Sharm El Sheikh. This is, in addition to Egypt’s richness in renewable sources of energy of wind and sun, which qualifies it to become one of the world’s largest producers of renewable energy, boosting promising investment opportunities in this field.

The meeting focused on cooperation with the Indian global energy company in additional projects in Egypt for the production of electricity from new and renewable sources of energy, as part of the national strategy for the generation of clean energy.
