President El-Sisi Meets Turkish President

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan In Riyadh.

The Spokesman for the Presidency said the meeting discussed ways to further strengthen relations between the two countries across various fields, as well as continuing mutual steps and building on tangible progress in order to effectuate various bilateral cooperation mechanisms.

The meeting followed-up on coordination and consultation on developments in the Gaza Strip. Tireless efforts at all levels to contain the crisis and its humanitarian repercussions were also reviewed. The two presidents agreed in this regard on the need to immediately stop the ongoing bombing and military operations in the Gaza Strip to avoid exposing civilians to further harm and loss of life and to prevent further deterioration of the humanitarian conditions of the people of the Gaza Strip, while continuing the key Egyptian role in implementing relief aid to the people of Gaza, and the concerted international efforts to push towards the implementation of the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
