Introduction

In Egypt, infrastructure projects have unprecedentedly flourished during the past seven years, in light of the vigorous efforts exerted by the state to develop them in accordance with a systematic strategic vision for economic and social development. This vision is based on three main pillars; finding solutions to accumulated problems, improving and developing facilities and adding new infrastructure. This is all while applying the highest international quality standards and the latest internationally recognized techniques and systems in this field, stemming from the belief that infrastructure is the organizational structures necessary to run society, in addition to its pivotal role in driving economic growth. Consequently, this will contribute to changing the life of the Egyptian citizen, provide all means for a decent life, including an interconnected road network, social housing units, water and sewage networks, as well as strengthen and develop the information and communication technology infrastructure to build a digitally competitive Egypt.
