The Social Protection Axis

The Egyptian State has adopted a package of comprehensive social policies to support and protect the most vulnerable segments of society. This is taking place not only through developing assistance programs and financial support, but by setting incentives, mechanisms and programs to improve the status of the most vulnerable segments and integrate them into the development process. This is in addition to expanding social safety nets and launching presidential initiatives to promote the standard of living in the Egyptian countryside. Thus social protection programs and presidential initiatives combined efforts and turned into an advanced and comprehensive system, in line with the comprehensive economic and social strategies and the sustainable reform goals that address loopholes in the Egyptian society in a radical manner, ensuring a decent life for all Egyptians and solidifying the principle of justice and social integration.
