Renaissance of Egyptian Women

• Egypt was able, over the last period, to take steady steps toward gender equality and women’s empowerment.

• Egypt is also keen to cooperate at the international and regional levels by participating in all initiatives related to empowering women and improving their conditions.

• Egypt affirms the importance of increasing women’s participation and effective contribution to peace negotiations and peacebuilding. Thus, Egypt exerts its utmost efforts to help implement the Women, Peace and Security Agenda.

• Gender equality and the empowerment, protection, and promotion of the rights of women are the main pillars of ensuring the progress of human societies and achieving sustainable development. Guaranteeing women's rights is a prerequisite for the full promotion and protection of human rights, pursuant to the relevant international covenants and conventions.

• The development and promotion of any society are measured by its cultural, moral and knowledge development and are closely connected with women’s cultural promotion and awareness-raising as well as effective contribution to building and developing the society.

• Women’s struggle continues in order for them to be granted the right to vote and practice all their political rights after having the right to education and holding public posts until women are seen in all fields of national work. Thus, we will see women working honestly, strenuously and efficiently and contributing effectively toward building Egypt, being the great mothers who gave birth to loyal and honorable women and men.

• The Egyptian woman proved, generation after generation and throughout Egypt’s long history, that she is a key player in Egypt and a fully-fledged partner in all its battles, wars and challenges.
