Esteemed guests,

It is my pleasure to welcome my two dear friends to Egypt within the framework of Trilateral Cooperation Mechanism summit that brings our three countries together—a mechanism that has become an exemplary model for strategic regional cooperation and integration based on mutual respect, shared benefit, the promotion of wise policies, and the upholding of the provisions of international law. The impacts of this cooperation are not limited to our countries, but extend to our entire region.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Egypt is confident that the will Egypt, Cyprus, and Greece share toward supporting stability in the regional neighborhood will contribute to establishing the pillars of peace in the region. Driven by this vision, I discussed today with His Excellency the President of the Republic of Cyprus and His Excellency the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic mechanisms to enhance political coordination and economic and commercial cooperation among our countries. We emphasized the importance of continuing to execute our joint approach to supporting peace and boosting the effectiveness of joint projects, thereby achieving tangible results that benefit our peoples and the entire region.

In this context, the energy sector stands at the forefront of cooperation among our countries. Egypt accords great importance to developing electricity interconnection projects, chiefly the «GREGY Project» with Greece, which represents a true turning point in enhancing regional integration in clean energy between the two shores of the Mediterranean, extending all the way to Europe.

The ongoing strategic cooperation in natural gas with Cyprus—which we look forward to piping to Egyptian gas infrastructure for subsequent re-export to European markets—reflects the vast potential available to our countries in this field. This cooperation is not limited to securing energy supplies for Europe, but extends to generating economic benefits for our peoples and contributing to enhanced energy security at both regional and international levels.

We were also keen to discuss mechanisms for expanding investment cooperation. We tackled the promising opportunities Egypt offers across a number of vital sectors—most notably information technology, tourism, and manufacturing, health, education, and construction. These fields present real opportunities to strengthen partnerships between the private sector and the chambers of commerce and industry in our countries, creating shared added value for us all.

Ladies and gentlemen,

The trilateral partnership our countries share is not limited to political, economic, and cultural cooperation; it also encompasses security and military coordination to address the challenges facing our region—including terrorism, organized crime, and illegal migration—in a manner that contributes to enhancing regional stability and protecting our shared interests.

Stability and security must rest upon a firm commitment by our nations toward upholding the rules of international law, supporting national institutions, respecting state sovereignty, and prioritizing dialogue and political settlement for all problems and challenges.

Our meeting today provided an opportunity to exchange views on the rapid regional developments and the ongoing escalation in the region.

Here, allow me to reiterate Egypt’s position advocating for de-escalation and prioritizing political solutions to prevent the region from sliding into a wider circle of conflict. I also reaffirm Egypt’s firm stance that rejects any attempts to undermine the stability of Arab nations and reaffirm our full solidarity with them, stemming from our firm belief in a shared destiny and the interconnectedness of Arab national security.

I also addressed with the distinguished leaders the developments of the Palestinian issue. I emphasized the necessity of adhering to the implementation of all terms of the Sharm El-Sheikh ceasefire agreement and US President Trump's comprehensive plan in all its provisions, as well as guaranteeing full and sustainable access for humanitarian aid. Furthermore, I renewed our absolute rejection of any attempts aimed at displacing the Palestinian people, altering the demographic composition of the Palestinian territories, or fragmenting them, alongside the importance of working to guarantee the Palestinian people's right to remain on their land.

Here, I reaffirm Egypt's steadfast position: a just and comprehensive peace in the region and its regional neighborhood will only be achieved through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

I also held discussions with His Excellency the President of Cyprus and His Excellency the Prime Minister of Greece on the situation in Libya. I emphasized the importance of supporting a "Libyan-Libyan" track that leads to holding presidential and parliamentary elections simultaneously, respecting the role of national institutions, and ending division. I also stressed the necessity of withdrawing all foreign forces, foreign fighters, and mercenaries from the country, thereby preserving Libya's unity and sovereignty and securing the safety and interests of its people.

With regard to Syria, the views of Egypt, Cyprus, and Greece are aligned on the need to preserve the unity and territorial integrity of the Syrian state, rejecting any attempts to divide it, and promoting a comprehensive political process that fulfills the aspirations of the Syrian people.

I also exchanged views with the distinguished leaders on other issues, including the situation in Sudan, the Horn of Africa, and the Red Sea. I emphasized that comprehensive political settlements based on national dialogue and respect for the will of the people—free from military intervention—represent the only way to end all crises in the region.

Our experience has proven that what unites Egypt, Greece, and Cyprus is a shared determination to build a regional model founded on stability and development, offering practical solutions to contain spheres of tension.

I confirm our commitment to continue developing this institutional framework and enhancing its mechanisms, commensurate with the significance of this partnership and the opportunities it offers to fulfill the aspirations of our peoples toward a more secure, stable, and prosperous future.

In conclusion, I welcome once again His Excellency the President of Cyprus and His Excellency the Prime Minister of Greece to Egypt. I reaffirm the vital importance of the ongoing cooperation and coordination among our nations; the future of our region is forged through supporting framework for cooperation, and its stability will be achieved through sincere partnerships grounded in the firm principles of international law.
