Saturday, 01 May 2021 / 10:05 AM

“The Great People of Egypt,

Brothers and Sisters, the Honorable Workers of Egypt,

Today, we celebrate together "Labor Day". I take this occasion to salute, with appreciation and respect, all working men and women across our dear country for your remarkable efforts and for your work, giving, achievements, and endeavors to promote the process of development and production as a fundamental pillar in building the present and future of our dear country, Egypt.

On this day, we affirm that the Egyptian worker is the nation's true wealth, the engine of development, and the springboard for a better reality and future by promoting the path of the national economy. “Work is Worship”; this is a concept grounded in all the teachings of the divine religions. Know that your homeland always appreciates and holds your fruitful efforts, diligent work and plentiful production in high regard.

We have every right to celebrate today. Over the past years and since we started together the process of development, the Egyptians have set an example in upholding the value of work out of their eagerness to build a nation of pride and dignity despite the enormous challenges that we faced. The successive achievements and mega projects that have been made in Egypt over recent years bear witness to the authentic creativity and strong will of this great people to change their reality and make a better future.

This has affirmed, to everyone from far and wide, our sound development path, sincere tendencies and serious endeavor to achieve a decent life for every citizen in a society where justice and equal opportunities prevail.

Brothers and Sisters,

The rapid changes we are witnessing today in working methods and production mechanisms push us toward competition and participation through continuous training to raise capabilities and learn from the experiences of other nations. This also ignites the desire for reform and modernization within our souls so that we will be able to develop our latent capabilities and positively influence human civilization.

I assure you today that those who want to find the right place in the modern era should have the highest level of mastery and dedication in their work. They should also strive to cope with the information revolution and the tremendous boom that the world is experiencing regarding innovations and applications of technology, artificial intelligence and mechanization.

The Honorable People of Egypt,

In conclusion, I affirm that I am confident in the ability of Egyptian workers to complete the development process for a better future for our young and promising generations; I’d like to send them a message: “Your noble struggle is very much appreciated and you will always find me keeping my promise and doing my utmost to make your constructive efforts bear fruit and fulfill all that you wish for yourselves and our dear country, Egypt.

Greetings to every worker performing their duties for the sake of their homeland everywhere. I affirm my deepest pride in you, your giving, and your sincere determination; I congratulate you all on your Day and wish you many happy returns.

Long live Egypt, long live Egypt, long live Egypt.

May Allah’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you.”
