Friday, 23 July 2021 / 10:10 AM

"In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,
The Great and Honorable People of Egypt,

The 23rd of July of every year arouses feelings of pride and dignity in our souls for Egyptians regained rule in their country after a great struggle. Today marks the anniversary of a glorious revolution, which has changed the reality of life in Egypt and brought on drastic changes in all fields.

Our country, as a result, has been put on the world’s political map. A new path to national action was opened up with a view to achieving the hopes of the people of Egypt: bringing about qualitative transformation, politically, economically and socially.

The impact of the glorious July Revolution extended beyond the borders of the region and its echoes sounded in all parts of the globe, giving inspiration and hope to the peoples struggling for their freedom.

It contributed to altering the balance of powers in the world to advance the interests of these peoples and to promote the independence of their national decision.

On this everlasting national memory, we remember- with pride- the icon of this revolution: late President "Mohamed Naguib" who bravely responded to the call of national duty at a delicate and defining moment.

We also pay tribute to its leader, the immortal leader "Gamal Abdel Nasser", who worked hard as much as he could to voice the hopes of Egyptians for a free homeland where social justice prevails.

This confirms that Egypt is rich with its loyal people; generations hand over the flag of the nation, fluttering high, to other generations, always and forever, “with Allah’s permission" and thanks to the determination and nobility of these great people.

The Great People of Egypt,

As time passes, the nature of the challenges facing our country changes: the July Revolution as a start, followed by wars waged for fighting for the causes of our brothers, restoring the land and achieving peace. This is in addition to the contemporary challenges, particularly confronting terrorism which the armed forces and police succeeded in containing and weakening its power.

The Egyptian people have always successfully taken on great responsibilities and have exhibited steadfast values of belonging and sacred loyalty to the homeland.

With regard to the current challenge of paramount importance to us all, we seek to change the reality of life in Egypt in all its aspects. This can be attained by working diligently to achieve comprehensive development based on careful planning, a part of a full-fledged national vision and strategy whose main objective is building a strong and advanced nation in all fields.

This vision has started off with the implementation of a national program for comprehensive economic and social reform, which takes into account the low-income and needy groups, provides the appropriate opportunities and climate to encourage local and foreign investments, and reinforces the values and methods of modern science in all aspects of our lives.

And I can honestly tell you: Because of the grand civilization of this great people and the deep awareness of a well-established fact that we are all partners in this country and therefore responsible for achieving progress and prosperity in it, I was and still am fully confident of our ability to achieve miracles.

We will shape the present and inspire the future of Egypt – with its great and glorious past – in a way that meets our satisfaction and is reflective of our pride. Thus, citizens living in this country will find a decent space for themselves and their children, inspired by the eternal spirit of the July 23 Revolution. Commemorating the revolution, I say: “We can preserve the capabilities of the nation and the gains of its great people.”

In conclusion, I once again extend my greetings to you all on this glorious occasion.

Many Happy Returns. May our dear Egypt stay safe and in progress.

Always and forever, we say:

Long live Egypt, long live Egypt, long live Egypt ...
Peace, mercy and blessings of Allah be up on you."
